Making of: the Whoops!! redesign

We gave Whoops a much-needed redesign. The original before-and-after pictures, from the menus and board to the app icon and cutscenes.

We gave Whoops a much-needed redesign!

It's amazing how far some fresh art and polish will go! Here is a thread of some of the changes with before and after images.

The main menu

The menu trades the beach and glossy buttons for a brighter landscape, wooden signs, and the pieces themselves.

The board

The board gets a cleaner background, updated cards, and a new treatment for the player progress bars.

Choosing players

The player setup follows the new menu style, with larger characters and color carried through each player card.

The app icon

A new icon brings the pieces together and gives a little more of a hint at the trouble they can cause.

A little more personality

The special-move cutscenes get the same polish, with larger characters and the new Whoops!! lettering.
